Today I want to tell you about DJ Pullano's latest mix.So read his own story in his own words:
I've never been one to try to put out the latest mixes of all the hottest tunes at the moment. I have absolutely nothing against those mixes, in fact those are the ones I tend to listen to the most, but for me it's always been more than that when it comes to my creations. I try to create something that blends the line between a mix and production, taking pieces from both arts and combining them together.
Timeless appeal is what I’m really after. Something that doesn't get forgotten but instead is memorable for years to come. One of the best complements that I love to get is when someone tells me they still have a CD from years back playing in their car right now. Or when someone texts me and says they are listening to a mix I made 10 years ago, that makes it all worth it. To me that's what it's about, it's the journey the songs take you on and the want to continue to take that trip over and over again as it drops you off somewhere new each time.
I've had the pleasure to work with great influences and other DJs along the way, most of which hail from Chicago which makes me proud to say I’m from the same city. We have some of the best DJs in the world in Chicago and I'm lucky to be able to be influenced by many of them.
