New Water-Free Shave Gel and Moisturizer Aims to Truly Change
the Way Women Approach Shaving
BOSTON, Mass. – Bellicose Industries announced its launch just one week ago of its first product, LIXA, a specially formulated two-in-one shave gel and moisturizer. Women who use the gel get the close and comfortable shave of a razor, without the need to add water, to achieve an ultra-smooth shave anywhere and while on the go.LIXA is a vegan shower gel made from natural essential oils. Additionally, the product is paraben-free, alcohol-free and cruelty-free.
“Usually women steal their boyfriend’s jeans, now men will be stealing their girlfriend’s shower gel,” said Jamie Steenbakkers, president of Bellicose Industries. “Today’s consumers’ top priorities are convenience and conservation. Our new shave gel is perfectly aligned with all the things that matter most to our customers.”
LIXA derives from the Malta word “lixxa” which translates to “smooth.” The product was created by two college students who recognized the challenges of shaving in cramped university showers, as well as the oily, chemical filled residue that is left behind by most commercial shaving creams.
The duo created a list of ingredients that were proven to be healthy for the skin and safe for the environment, and then worked with several California-based beauty labs to formulate LIXA. Users simply apply a thin layer of the shave gel on the shaving area, spread evenly, wait for 30 seconds and then shave normally. Once shaving is complete, users apply an additional layer to moisturize the skin and keep the skin soft and refreshed.
LIXA is made with eucalyptus, ginger, clove, oat and vitamin B5, all of the ingredients to ensure a luxurious shave experience and prevent razor burn and shaving irritation. Consumers that have tested the product have been amazed at what the natural ingredients have done for their skin.
“LIXA made my shaving experience quick, pain free and enjoyable,” said Gyda Sumadi, a Babson college student. “My legs were felt feeling smoother and the shave lasted significantly longer than shaving with a cream.”
