Do consumers appreciate
live chat on websites?
Live Chat has been around for a while,
you’ve seen it on many large company websites and more recently, smaller
businesses have started to pick up on the benefits of using it too.
According to a recent report, titled - Live Chat Effectiveness 2012, there is
significant growth across the US and UK with more than 65% of American online
shoppers having engaged in a live chat in the past year, that’s quite a lot of
us!
The trend is good news for sellers and web
site owners, 31% of online shoppers from both the US and UK saying they would
be more likely to purchase after a live chat!
Live chat best practice
Live Chat is popping up everywhere, it’s
getting pretty clear that there is a sizeable group of consumers out there now
that are keen to communicate with web site/businesses in this way.
The recent trend appears to show that the
value of implementing live chat on an e-commerce site may have been slightly
overshadowed by the well-reported opportunity that Social Media channels seem
to offer to engage with customers.
I’m happy to say that, although a Social
Media presence is important.. Live Chat has been the best thing I’ve added to
my business so far this year.
The guys at Visitor Chat allowed me to test
drive their Chat system, after seeing the results first hand,
I will never have an e-commerce site that doesn’t offer Live Chat again.
I’ll be trying Live Chat on my business
websites in September with a free trial from “Visitor Chat”.
You should try it too, if it’s free to try,
you have nothing to lose!
Love this thing and glad to be able to
offer out a free trial to my loyal readers!
