My name is Steve Sweeney (my friends call me The Sween), and I'm
a Recovering Internet/Network Marketing Failure.
I'm 52 years old, and for the past 30 years I have failed at
every MLM/Network Marketing program I've tried -- but I have always seen it
work for some, so I figured it was ME, screwing things up some how. Some
of the problems and struggles I've experienced over the years include,
but are not limited to:
- Recruiting (I absolutely hate it – you’ll see why later)
- Not understanding the pay plan well enough to articulate it effectively
- My personal embarrassment about jumping from one program to the next
- My inability to duplicate
- My inability to close
- My inability to honestly answer the question – “Have you made any money with this program Steve?”
- Leadership that did not understand that I actually had a full time job and had family responsibilities so I could not go to meetings and/or conference calls at the drop of a hat
- Leadership that has tried to manipulate me into shirking my responsibilities as a business owner, husband and Dad - so they could "see my level of commitment" to their program
- Giving upline a list of the names and numbers of my closest friends and family so they could then call them on my behalf -- disrupt their day, be rude to them, apply high pressure closing tactics, etc, etc, etc --it's been awful and I have burned a bunch of bridges over the years
....but yet, there has always been a part of me that
"knew" the MLM model worked – again, I had seen it work for others
many, many times. It's just that the means and practices of
building a downline had never been a good fit for me -- then, in 1998 or
so -- I discovered the Internet, and began seeing MLM programs pop up online --
so in my mind, I did not have to bug my friends and family anymore! But
alas, to my dismay -- all this did was
start yet another cycle of program after program after program -- enrollment
fee after enrollment fee, after enrollment fee -- it was pathetic – I was
pathetic -- but at the same time, it was all quite intriguing -- because I had
been successful in almost every other area of my life -- so I thought that I
should be able to transfer that same level of success to my Internet Marketing
aspirations -- but it never happened -- I never made a dime in any of these
programs until a couple of years ago.
Here’s what I did – I paid the enrollment fees for 6 people to
participate in a Grocery buying/ gift card program. These 6 people were,
(in my mind) heavy hitters with a vast expanse of influence -- so I ended up
cycling in that program, and made $200 -- but I had spent over $1200.
What an idiot I was! How many people do you think those six people
recruit? You got it – ZERO!
My search for an Internet Marketing Opportunity that made sense
for me was a never ending ground hog day – same story – different opportunity –
same result – FAILURE!
By the way, this story does have a happy ending – but only
because I found the Fantasy Marketing League – but more about that later.
Prior to me finally unlocking the Internet Marketing Success
Code with the Fantasy Marketing League, I had participated in several
"Cycler / Forced Matrix / Spill-Over Promising" programs -- only to
experience more of the same negative results. I was such and MLM sucker
that whenever any of my friends found a new program, they'd immediately come to
me with it, and I'd join, thinking that they would join a program I approached
them with someday -- haha -- that has never happened -- amazing -- so I ended
up with this chip on my shoulder regarding Internet Marketing and the whole
recruiting scenario. I was determined to find a program that worked for
me WITHOUT them -- this is when I was introduced to the Fantasy Marketing
League Draft concept by a lady I had never met – but I somehow ended up on
her list of internet prospects. She
shared a link with me that was quite fascinating. It was a pre-paid team build with everyone

instant downline -- it was perfect - made all the sense in the world! And
to make it even better, the more people I referred to the draft, the more times
my name would be entered in the drawing -- so I got to work introducing people
to the concept. Now get this -- and all they had to do was watch a blasted
video to get more info. You guessed it –
it didn't happen -- my emails, phone calls and text messages were ignored
by everyone -- that chip got even larger, heavier and more intrusive. I had gotten such a toxic attitude that I
decide to create websites that allowed me to lash out at what I perceived to be
my “Dream Thieves” (I never created
these website – I just purchased the url’s because I was ticked off and knew
that one day I would run into some people who had similar experiences as me –

idea – I was mad at the world and anyone who I felt like ridiculed me for not
giving up on my quest for success in the Internet Marketing Industry.
Fast forward to the draft -- I was the 11th pick out of 391total participants in the First Ever Fantasy Marketing League Draft (the lady who told
me about the draft was the 18th pick). All 391 pre-paid participants were
placed in the Prosperity Cash Machine's cycler type program on October 21, 2013,
and I cycled twice in a 24 hour time frame -- that's two cycles on the Gold
Platform @ $900 each -- $1800 in less than 24 hours -- those funds were paid to
me immediately in my Prosperity Cash Machine back office, and I was absolutely
BLOWN AWAY -- so I began letting all those people who blew me off
know that this had actually worked and they needed to get onboard NOW
before all of the Failure to Success stories of people like me went viral
on the net, and a tsunami of sign ups in FML & PCM started to manifest.
So I sent out emails, phone calls - text messages -- and there
was silence -no responses - except a wonderful couple
in Gastonia NC who I had known for years, and we had other business dealings in
the past -- they actually joined FML/PCM -- it was awesome – and I’m helping
them to cycle as we speak.
Today I am involved with the Fantasy Marketing League's
Community of Internet Marketing Newbies and Recovering Failures -- we are
surrounded by and supported by a team of leaders who were already successful in
the Internet Marketing Industry before they launched the Fantasy Marketing
League -- they were all full time -- so they provide us with access to internet

bottomless pit of people just like me who have hoped -- but never been able to
