Indie horror short film “The Music Box” now available on Youtube
“I made the film a little while ago when I was
in film school, I wrote/produced/directed it. I wanted to explore the psychology
behind objects and music, and how they affect people. Memories and senses, and
more importantly sense memory, is a powerful thing. And if there is something
traumatic hidden in there, it can be difficult to cope with. There's also the
idea of guilt – and how oppressive an emotion it can be. I wanted this short
film to be a glimpse into that, I wanted to portray a man struggling to escape
from his memories and from himself.”
“The Music Box”, a short psychological horror film
written/produced/directed by Crystal Nicole Marcano, is now available on
Youtube.
Crystal Nicole Marcano on her choice to distribute “The Music
Box” on Youtube:
“Quite simply, I wanted to share the film with anyone who
wanted to watch it. I believe watching films should be as convenient as
possible for the audience. Online distribution is the future after all, and
Youtube is a more like an open and interactive forum of content distribution,
which is another thing I liked. I am interested in what the audience thinks of
the film, and Youtube is a way for the audience to directly post their thoughts
through comments. I think Youtube is a great way for “The Music Box” to find
its audience.”
