For many years people have debated who is the best Doctor, i thought it was now time to open the debate up once more, i thought i would post my top five and then you could comment, i am sure that you would probably not agree with my choices but that’s what debate is all about,

Already your mind should be thinking about previous Doctors and so did mine as i was writing this post, Matt Smith would not have been my number one choice at first but i think he probably holds the crown at the moment, what i mean is he is holding the cards at the moment and is doing a great job, well its time to move on to the next Doctor.
David Tennant made me fall back in Love with Doctor Who after years of not bothering with it so he is in at number 2.

David Tennant made Doctor Who watchable again for me, by that i mean i could not wait to tune in on a Saturday evening to watch, there were plenty of high profile stars guesting on the show also, this made it even more interesting for viewers, i remember Kylie Minogue on one of the Christmas Specials and such names as James Cordon and Michelle Ryan have made an appearance on the show, i think getting such names as this helped the show gain a new audience, people who had never watched the show before were tuning in just to see how certain stars would fit into the format of the show, i think David did more for the show than any other Doctor, he maybe just maybe should be at number one, but i think Matt has just picked up the ball and ran with it so i wont be changing my mind.
Peter Davison had to make it in at number 3 just because i loved him in All Creatures great and Small i suppose.
Peter Davison has a stint as the Doctor and i only watched it when he first took over the role, i think because i thought it would be funny, i was used to seeing Peter as bumbling vet Tristan in All Creatures great and small, but after a while i decided to turn away from Doctor Who, only to return when David Tennant took the mantle many years later.

John Pertwee was the first Doctor i remember so he has to be in there.

John Pertwee was my first memory of Dr Who as a child, this make him the guy who first introduced me to the Doctor, i will always remember John as one of the finest Doctors we have had, so for that reason John sneaks in at number 4.
And now for number 5 it has to be Tom Baker, at the time i did not like him as the Doctor, i just wanted John Pertwee back, but Tom had a bit more of an edge to his performance, he was a bit strange so it just worked.
